WHEW is a grassroots initiative addressing domestic violence and re-entry for women of color caught up in the Harris Country criminal justice system. WHEW workshops focus on building dialog and educating about issues facing members of Houston communities of color, who are often disadvantaged and marginalized. WHEW works with other grassroots organizations to promote change through concrete solutions and community involvement, working toward a better quality of life overall.
