Connecting to Electronic ResourcesWhen connecting to electronic resources purchased by the University, you may be asked to enter your UHD-ID and PIN. If you cannot connect, please use Ask a Librarian to report the problem. You may also find quick solutions to some common connection problems on this page.

Technical ProblemsPlease use Ask a Librarian to report technical problems. When reporting a problem, please give us a description of the problem, the name of the source you were using, the name of your Internet provider, and the name of your Internet browsing software (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.). Notices of temporary technical problems are posted to the Library Blog. Login ScreensYou should see the following login screen when you connect from home or off-campus:

ID and PIN ProblemsIf the login screen will not accept your UHD-ID and PIN, it may help to reset your PIN:
If these steps do not fix the problem, please use Ask a Librarian to let us know. Please note that license agreements limit remote access to current UHD students, faculty, and staff.
EZProxy MessagesIf you see the following message, please use Ask a Librarian to let us know: ... "your EZproxy administrator must first authorize this within the ezproxy cfg file" When reporting this problem, please tell us which source you want to access.
Dial-Up Internet ServiceSome Internet providers offer customized browser software that may conflict with library databases. If you have persistent technical problems with a dial-up service, please follow these steps:
Workplace Access ProblemsSome employers use security systems that block access to our proxy server. We take steps to minimize this problem, but we cannot guarantee that all users will be able to connect from their workplace. If you have a persistent problem, please talk to your employer's network administrators.
