| What is RSS? |
|
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an easy-to-use
technology that can help you keep track of news
and research that is important to you. With an
RSS reader, you can display content from your
favorite journals, newspapers, listservs, web
sites, and blogs in one convenient place, eliminating
the need to visit each source. You decide what
you want to receive and organize it in a way that
makes sense to you.

| What is an RSS Reader? |
| An
RSS reader is a software application that can
be used to view and organize content from RSS
feeds. Some readers are Web-based software, while
others are desktop-based. There are dozens of
RSS readers, but most people start with one of
these Web-based readers:

| How do I subscribe to an RSS
Feed? |
| Most
RSS readers make it easy to automatically subscribe
to RSS feeds for any page you are viewing in your
Web browser. Be sure to read the documentation for
your RSS reader to learn about these easy subscription
options. You can also subscribe to a feed by pasting
the feed address into your RSS reader. Look for
the "subscribe" option (sometimes called
XML or RSS) at each individual site to get the feed
address. |
