This database from ProQuest Newspapers is a cover-to-cover archive of the New York Times from 1851 to 2003. It has high-quality PDF images of articles, book reviews, comics, advertisements, editorials, obituaries, photographs, and more. With the ability to search every word in the New York Times, researchers can easily find materials that are excluded from other database and are otherwise available only in microfilm collections. Due to copyright restrictions, some articles that were originally submitted to the New York Times by freelance authors may be excluded from the database. For articles published after 2004, see New York Times.

Off-campus access is available only to current UHD students, faculty, and staff.
