An alumni identification card is required to borrow books and use library computers. Visit Student Accounting and Cashiers in the One Main Building, Room S-204, to get your alumni card for a small one-time fee. For details, see the UHD Alumni FAQs.
This Web site provides free access to the UHD Library Catalog and the List of Journals. Most electronic publications are available to alumni on-site in the Library Computer Lab. Due to license restrictions, remote access is available only to current UHD students, faculty, and staff. Remote access to similar resources may be available from your local city or county library.
For details about borrowing from the W.I.Dykes Library, see Borrowing & Circulation and Loan Periods and Renewals.
UH Alumni have borrowing privileges at the UH Downtown library but you must have a Library Associates Card (free to alumni) and library account set up by the Anderson Library at the University of Houston Central Campus. To obtain a library account with the Anderson Library, call their circulation desk at 713-743-9710 for details. You may also see the alumni page of their website at http://info.lib.uh.edu/general_information/library_privileges/alumcard.html.
Once you have a library account set up through the Anderson Library, you may visit the UHD library to checkout materials or you may request the materials be sent to Anderson library for pick up. If you have any further questions, email or call the UHD Circulation Desk at 713-221-8186 or the Central Campus Anderson library circulation desk at 713-743-9710.
