Organization of Pi Gamma Mu

Under the constitution, chapters elect the members of the board of Trustees for three-year terms. Chapters may also send delegations to vote at the legislative sessions of the triennial convention.

The voting members of the board are the presidents, the secretary-treasurer, two past presidents, and five regional chancellors. They are responsible for establishing and directing the policies of the Society between conventions.

Each of the five chancellors oversees a region made up of several provinces (states or nations). The provinces are headed by governors who lend support and assistance to the collegiate chapters under their jurisdiction. Each chapter, under the direction of faculty sponsors, plans its own programs and specific areas of service.

The Board employs the journal editor, the legal counsel, and the executive director. The executive director is in charge of the headquarters office in Winfield, KS, where all international business of the Society is transacted. The Society year begins September 1 and ends August 31. Pi Gamma Mu Has been classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit, educational Society under  Code 501 (C)(3).
