Important Dates for 2005-2006 Academic Year

FINANCIAL AID DEADLINE: UHD does not have a "financial aid deadline". Generally, as long as you are enrolled and otherwise eligible, you can be paid financial aid. HOWEVER, once you are no longer enrolled at UHD (either because the term is over or you withdrew from classes), federal regulations definitely limit the type and amount of financial aid you can be paid. In all cases, we must receive a valid Student Aid Report before you cease enrollment for the 2005-2006 school year.

In order to insure you have your financial aid available as early as possible, the following dates needs to be considered:

January 1, 2005	Earliest date you can complete the FAFSA . We encourage you to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after this date.
February 2, 2005	UHD financial aid forms available . This is the earliest date that in house forms will be available for completion.
February 2, 2005	2nd Annual Financial Aid Fair. You will have the opportunity to get to know the financial aid office as well as gain the opportunity to participate in the scholarship drawing.
February 3, 2005	FAFSA Video Broadcast. This broadcast, in English and Spanish, includes complete instructions for completing the FAFSA and is intended to help students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
March 15, 2005	Summer Financial Aid applications available in the OSFA for Summer 2005
April 1, 2005	Financial Aid first priority processing date . Files must be completed with all necessary documentation received and reviewed by a counselor to be considered as a priority candidate for Fall semester financial aid. (Completion by this date may increase the possibility of being awarded limited state aid.) .
April 15, 2005	Last day to submit loan request for Spring . If you wish to apply for a loan for 2004-2005 this will be the last day to submit a loan request form for certification.
June 10, 2005	Summer Financial Aid Deadline. Application for summer aid must be made by this date. If your file for summer 2005 is completed after this date your file will not be processed for summer financial aid.
July 1, 2005	Financial Aid last priority deadline for Fall registration. Files must be completed with all necessary documentation received and reviewed by a counselor to be considered for Fall semester financial aid. Any student with an incomplete file will be required pay all educational costs incurred at the time of registration. You may be reimbursed after registration to the extent of your eligibility.
November 15, 2005	Spring registration priority deadline . If your file is completed after this date you should be prepared to pay all educational costs incurred at the time of registration and should not depend on the availability of aid to assist in these costs. You may be reimbursed after registration to the extent of your eligibility.
November 18, 2005	Last day to submit a Stafford Loan Request for Fall only . If you wish to apply for a loan for Fall 2005 this will be the last day to submit a loan request form for certification.
