Applications are accepted year-round. For priority consideration, apply 60 days before the start of the fall/spring semester. High school applicants are encouraged to apply as early as their junior year.  The application for Scholars Academy is available below:

General Scholarship Requirements

	Minimum 3.0 GPA overall (on a 4.0 scale) in college and in high school math and science
	Rank in upper 25% of high school graduating class
	Minimum score of 450 on SAT math and verbal sections; or minimum score of 250 on each THEA exam section (formerly known as TASP)
	Credit for at least Pre-Calculus
	Completion of a college-preparatory high school curriculum
	Be enrolled at UHD as a full-time student and a member of the Scholars Academy
	Declare your major within one of the following departments at UHD: Computer and Mathematical Sciences (CMS); Engineering Technology; or Natural Sciences
	Most scholarships require U.S. citizenship or permanent residency; internationals are still invited to apply

Individual Recommendation Forms

The UHD Admissions application fee of $35 will be required upon acceptance into the Scholars Academy. To apply for UHD admissions – Go to www.applytexas.org and create an "Apply Texas" Account. After completion, you will receive a letter from the UHD Office of Admissions within 4-7 businss days regarding the
status of your application.
