There are a number of scholarship opportunities available on merits basis, offered by Scholar's Academy.

ISA Student Section at UHD

The Instrument Systems, and Automation (ISA) Institute is the leading professional institute for control and instrumentation professionals. Due to the strong presence of process industry in the Great Houston area, the ISA Houston Section is the largest among all the ISA local sections. ISA has been an invaluable source of support for CIED Program and UHD ISA Student Section is a direct result of the involvement and support of the education section of ISA.

All CIED students are invited to apply to join ISA as student members. For an annual membership fee of $10, an ISA student member is entitled to:

• ISA monthly magazine InTech which present the latest trends and technology in control and instrumentation industry.
• The guidance of a mentor of ISA member with industry application experience.
• Free dinners at the ISA monthly meetings which provide opportunities for ISA members to networking and find the latest news, job openings, etc.

The mission of UHD ISA Student Section is to promote the Control and Instrumentation profession and to serve the professional development needs of CIED students. Regular activities, such as seminars, project competitions, field trips, etc., are organized to enhance CIED students professional standing.
