Houston PREP students in all years worked on class projects. First Year students designed containers capable of protecting an egg for an egg-drop contest. They also learned how to use drafting tables to design houses. Second Year students built mousetrap cars. They also built rockets that were tested for flying distance.  The students also constructed sculptures using cardboard, wood sticks and paint. Third Year students designed and constructed houses using balsa wood. Faculty members judged the projects. Fourth Year students built robots using the LEGO Robotics invention system.
