During the Engineering Day, KBR conducted two-day workshops for all PREP participants entitled, “Pasta Power.”  The Pasta Power workshop was a contest in which students (in groups of 4-5 students) had to construct a one-foot structure to support a coffee can.  The students were only allowed to make use of spaghetti, mailing labels and elastic bands.  The structures were judged in originality and tested for strength. Mr. Yash Gad, PREP Instructor, also conducted a workshop entitled, “Towers.”  Students (in groups of 4-5 students) in this workshop competed in constructing the tallest tower using Styrofoam cups.  The towers were judged on creativity and height with the least number of cups.
