This is an International Workshop on "Research & Development of Human
Communication Technologies for Conversational Interaction and Learning" in
Merida, México on April 19-21, 2002. This workshop brought together a select
group of researchers in this field to discuss new collaboration possibilities
between U.S. and Mexican institutions. During these days, each researcher will
present their current research and developments followed by open discussions.
CCSDS’s funded NSF Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACyT) program is
sponsoring the workshop, which is jointly led by Dr. Richard Aló (CCSDS
Executive Director), Dr. Ron Cole (Director of the Center for Speech and
Language Research at the University of Colorado at Boulder), and Dr. Ingrid
Kirschning (Director of the Tlatoa Speech Technology Research Group at
Universidad de las Américas-Puebla).
