Organization Description
As an agent of change, The Bridge assists women and children in crisis, particularly survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness. To this end, The Bridge advocates for the oppressed; provides shelter, food and clothing to the needy; and cares for and supports the community and itself.

Description of Internship
As an intern, students would have the opportunity to participate in every aspect of the direct care we provide. This may entail doing some case management, facilitating groups (parents and/or child), contributing to the daily runnings of the emergency shelter, simply lending an ear to someone in need or whatever other needs the intern identifies.

Criteria for Interns
Someone who is motivated, committed, willing to learn and challenge themselves, strong communication skills, and can ask for what they need from the internship experience.
