Organization Description
Description of Internship LifeSkills Institute is a facilitation and training company. We offer behavioral workshops for adolescents. The workshops include: Anger Management, Decision-Making, Truancy, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, Character Building, Self-Esteem and Resiliency. We offer the workshops on Saturdays from 8am-12noon and 12noon to 4pm. Currently we have 3 locations and hoping to consolidate into one in the near future. The interns would help us with scheduling the families for the workshops, confirming the appointments and assisting administratively at the workshops.

The skills needed are: compassion for working with people, great organizational, strong articulation and bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) skills. After being trained on our system, the candidate would need to be able to discern what to do when given circumstances arise, sometimes in my absence. Criteria for Interns The minimum age is 20. The candidate should be computer literate on Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Power Point). This opportunity is open to Psychology and Social Work majors. We do require a background check as well as 3-5 references. The candidate must be in good health, trustworthy, mentally mature and of integrity.
