Organization Description

Catholic Charities is a non-profit organization providing community services and programs to families and individuals throughout the greater Houston area, without regard to race, religion, or ethnic background.

Interns can choose between several programs:

• Working with Seniors (recommended)
• Working with Adults
• Working with Children

Interns are required to send a resume and a cover letter outlining which program they are interested in to Ms. Zarate. The resume will be sent to the appropriate department, and an interview will be set up if appropriate. A volunteer application will also be required.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will conduct a criminal background and reference check.

Every volunteer that works with children for an extended period of time is required to attend the VIRTUS training within three months of placement.
