Minimum requirements

You can get a minor in Theatre by completing 18 hours in Theatre, nine of which must be upper-level (3000 or 4000 level) courses taken at UH-D. Students must have an overall grade point average of 2.0 and a grade of at least C for any course applied toward the minor.

Lower-level courses (9 hours needed)

Drama 1301: Introduction to Theater
Drama 1303: Acting I
Drama 1304: Acting II

Drama 1305: Stagecraft I
Drama 2301: Stage Design II
Comm 1303: Storytelling

Upper-level courses (9 hours needed)

Drama 3302: Readers Theatre
Drama 3303: Theatre: Greek to Elizabethan
Drama 3304: Theatre: Elizabethan to Modern
Drama 3305: Advanced Design
Drama 3308: Playwriting
Drama 3309: History of African American Theatre
Drama 3325: Arts Administration
Drama 3332: Stage Directing
Drama 4390: Special Topics in Theatre
Comm 4390: Special Topics in Communication Any issue topic that is performance- oriented. Approval of the Director of Theatre needed on acceptability of topic.
